Redpill me on homeopathy. Is it the bullshit pseudo medicine I assume it is?

Mostly, yeah. There may be some traditional stuff that has minor benefits for minor problems (certain scents being relaxing, etc.), but I wouldn't rely on it to treat any sort of serious medical condition.

There's a reason alternative medicine is "alternative" and not just medicine. A lot of it is promoted by people trying to sell something and the rest is neo-hippies with poor critical thinking skills.

Homeopathy generally performs like shit in reputable double-blind studies vs. placebo. Rational wiki is stupid and neckbeardy, but offers a pretty decent summary of the effectiveness of homeopathy

It's fine to goof around with if you feel like it helps, but be aware that you'll be spending time and money for something that literally has no statistical effect compared to a sugar pill (the sugar pill would be cheaper, too). Definitely never let it keep you from getting actual medical attention from people who've studied for half their lives to heal you. I've seen people try to treat conditions with ineffective bullshit and wait far too long to see a real doctor, letting the problem get way worse

Oh, and I forgot to mention Avogadro's Limit, which means most homeopathic cures literally have nothing in them.

>get acid burns on your face
>pour more acid on your face to get rid of it

Genius

Relatively harmless and ineffectual.
The big problem though is that homeopathic "medicine" is not regulated or tested as a medicine, but as a food stuff. So they can basically put anything they want in those homeopathic pills and cocktails they sell at the chemist and health store.
