Literally walked in and asked if they were hiring, I talked to the woman in the office and they called me back a few weeks later with a job offer.
I've now been here for a while, and I really fucking enjoy it. I get to spend my day around history, people from around the world, and I have access to a new network of historians and those in the museum field. My job isn't particularly hard or stressful, especially on weekends.
Today, for example, I vacuumed the office and basically walked around making sure people didn't touch shit. Right now I'm just sitting in my office on break.
