Just because I'm still drawing eyes doesn't mean I'm not also drawing body proportions as well. I just decided to post something I felt most confident in, and based on the reactions I'm getting, I'm glad I didn't post my full-body sketches. I just want a hugbox right now. Otherwise I'd be posting in /ic/. I just want someone to tell me, "Good progress! Keep going! You can do it!" I stopped posting in drawthreads because I was getting such negative feedback that it killed any desire I had to keep going. Drawing involves a lot of work, and when you see where you want to be in comparison to where you are, it's already stressful enough as it is. Why kick a man when he's down? The options are tell me I suck and I'll stop drawing, or tell me to keep at it and I'll actually feel motivated to improve.

Freelance graphic design is actually pretty lucrative. I'm a freelance developer but when I need shit like logos I always have to pay like $50 because I can't draw for shit. I know everyone says logos are super hard masterpieces rivaling the work of the ninja turtle artists, but it still looks like it can't have taken more than 10 minutes to make.

It still wasn't copied, I got a random face with different proportions and had to made my own, second one may be traced tho, it's all early stuff that I have around. Heye OP if you want an easier time to get into drawing regularly for practice find some friends to do some creative drawing together on something like, say, flockmod, that really helped me break into drawing for real and i got into the groove and would draw on my own after that
Otherwise I guess classes would help (never tried), I know your pain of trying books and not getting any help from them
