Doctor told me I have snowy vision or visual snow, does /r9k/ have any questions? People seem to think I'm a fucking mutant when I've explained it to them

That plus having black floaters is pretty annoying, It's alright when It's dark outside, can't see the floaters, but the snowy vision is still there even if I close my eyes. I got used to it, nothing much to do anyway.

Reading is absolute garbage, especially black on white

I've had VS for 14 years. At this point it's become natural to me and I no longer notice. I'm just glad I don't have detached retinas. Shit could always be worse.

I've had visual snow for the last ~4 years now, but its not nearly as bad as in that pic, its usually only where I'm focused. Reading is fine too. Hope they come up with a cure for this shit eventually but I think it has something to do with your nervous system so I wouldn't bet on it
>>
I have it as well, mine is not bad though, It's kind off cool to watch the patterns when I close my eyes.
>>
Holy shit i've had this my whole life and just thought it was normal
>>
>>29978646
Isn't this just being nearsighted?
>>
Can't you be prescribed clonazepam to treat snowy vision? If so, this is one medical condition I have no problem faking. I already have some black floaties anyway.

I have this + tinnitus.
Life is a bitch.
>>
>>29978646
K had it since I was a kid too
Didn't use to know it was abnormal, probably all those weekends, afternoons Nd hollydays playing videogames instead of having a childhood
>>
>>29979422
No you can only get it from doing drugs. Thats why everyone wants it, it's the disease of cool people
>>
i've had visual snow and tinnitus for as long as i can remember

i've done multiple cycles of lions mane+memantine + various other NGF/BDNF/ Neurite outgrowth boosting substances and haven't noticed any improvement.

the only thing that even remotely helps is benzos, but then they make it even worse if you ever stop.
>>
I didn't know this was a thing
I have it and I always thought it was normal and was the same as everyone elses vision.
Fuck

I wanted to become a pilot but I need good vision for that
>>
I got it from doing too much shrooms. Its so sad.....
>>

I have been medicated from age 6
It's kind of funny, I see the world in static like everything is on a tv signal. When people tell me to go outside I constantly try to change the channel but I cant
>>

I always kind of noticed it when I was a kid. Some visual snow can be normal, the human eye isn't perfect, however the pic is much more severe than what I had. I started experimenting with LSD and started noticing the "snow" more after some trips, but after I stopped it, I started to go away or became unnoticeable unless I try really hard to look for it.
