Awful thing about this is that it seems to be getting worse. I was in public school from 1990-2001 and there was already too much of it. Now i see teachers pushing harder for more and more group work. They are being taught this is the way to go as students in uni. It's shit. All it does is further ostracize students who are already uncomfortable in the classroom situation. It's a shit teaching technique even for the kids who are fine with it as well, as invariably one or two students end up doing the majority of the work.
