Our "cold press" is just old expired pots of coffee that we would have dumped anyway, we put it in the "cold press coffee" canister, and sell it to you as "iced coffee"

can confirm, I worked at mcdicks and we did that.

It's old coffee with ice from a machine that gets shit dropped in it because it has no cover and liquid sugar. Oh and a bit of cream too but it's still gross as fuck.
