How old are you and at what age did you learn the following?

>tying your shoes
>tying a tie
>riding a bike
>swimming
>a second language
>how the banking system works and managing your own money
>how to play a card game (which card game was it?)
>washing your own laundry
>cooking your own meals
>fixing/troubleshooting something (anything, hard mode: no computers and googling)

If you haven't yet, do you plan on doing so?

Are there any other specific things that you were a late bloomer for?

OP here

>30, soon 31

>shoes

like.. 12 years old? I wore velcro shoes alll my childhood or my mom would tie them for me, and at one point I wore these autism magnets. Tight elastic laces that were curly and bright orange, slapped onto autism shoes of course.

>tie

nope

>bike

10 or 11

>swimming

probably 6 or 7, I grew up/live in a place where swimming is a hot meme

>second language

same, 6 or 7

>banking/money

I first had a kids' bank account when I was probably 12 but 2bh the process is still ongoing. I didn't learn how to deposite a check through an ATM, and didn't learn the difference between savings/checkings accounts until I was 29.

>car game

7 or 8? We would play "asshole" aka kings aka the president aka some other names at extended family gatherings like Christmas.

>washing your own laundry.

29. My mom INSISTED that she always do my laundry along with everyone else's until I secretly started doing it on day,

>cooking your own meals

excluding microwave shit, 19. I actually went vegan so I had to learn to cook for myself

>repairing things

well,, if fucking around with TV antennas back when those were a thing in the 90s counts as troubleshooting & fixing, then when I was like 7 or 8 years old. Other than that, fixing my bike when I was 12/13 just through trial & error.

Oh, and I didn't learn to memorize the days of the weeks and months of the year until I was like 11 years old.

Like I can remember that. I was probably a toddler.

18 or 19. I remember because I was getting ready for vocational school.

Too young to remember. Maybe 5.
>swimming
Never learned how to swim.
>a second language
In my 20s. I didn't start taking an interest in other languages until after high school.
>how the banking system works and managing your own money
In my 20s.
>how to play a card game (which card game was it?)
I think I learned some variation of rummy in my early teens. I picked up an encyclopedia of card game rules just a couple of years ago, and I play MtG on occasion.
>washing your own laundry
Mid-teenage years? I remember my mom volunteering to do this for the most part, and then suddenly it became one of my assigned chores.
>cooking your own meals
Early teenage years. I wanted to be able to eat when I wanted to eat, not when my parents decided to prepare something.
>fixing/troubleshooting something (anything, hard mode: no computers and googling)
This question doesn't make much sense, or it's too broad. I fixed a lot of things growing up because I was generally curious how they worked in the first place. I took an interest in computer operations technology in my late teen years, and taught myself how to build computers.

I'm just going to say it

I fucking hate when people can't tie their shoes past the age of 10

Like what the fuck? Its so fucking simple

Even fucking spongebob has an episode on how to do it (albeit its not exactly accurate)

So many fucking people have asked me to tie their shoes at the age of 16 and onward
