Yeah I am haha, kicked my board out down a 7 stair and landed with all my weight on the side of my foot, it made a horrible crunch but thank god it didn't break. It's nice and swollen with some blood pooling

My friend is learning to skate and he's about ready for dropping in and I keep telling him 'you'll get hurt more if you pussy out of things than if you just do them' and this was a prime example. If I didn't kick my board away then I'd have probably just fell on my butt and thought nothing of it :(

How old are you? Who gives a shit just jump on it, I tend to skate straight after work while the kids are still at school (I finish at 12pm) and I sometimes see other older guys getting back in to it while the parks are empty. I've met one guy who was mid forties and another in his late thirties, just go for it and have some fun
