its not reincarnation, its a literal fact. Your matter wont simply vanish when you die, you will break down into simpler elements which are then once again used as building blocks for new substances or organisms. Your consciousness won't be involved at all, and it has nothing to do with evolution, its simply a physical fact of the world. Also, its a statistical probability that, eventually, your baser elements will be used to further contribute to a normies life.

This is one of the things that always strikes me as misguided about religious thinking. There is always a desire to have something tell you what does and does not matter; what everything means. Having faith in divine teaching makes things certain, whilst nothing is certain when you rely on your own imperfect perception of the world. But the ability to make sense of one's own existence is the foundation of our humanity. Giving that up is the same as giving up your existence -- you are dead, but your body is not.
Once your body is dead, it is too late for you to find yourself again. Turn your thoughts inwards and mean something to yourself; only then can you mean anything to the universe.
There is no life after death just as their is no life before birth. Try to imagine them: you cannot. They are both illusions to you. To think on them is the essence of waste.

Dude, you don't even have most of the same matter in you this year as you did last year. You aren't defined by physical matter. You are defined by electric information in your brain.
There's no real empirical way to determine what happens to your consciousness after death. Other people can observe your brain stopping, but there's no way to know if that correlates to the end of your existence or not.
I think that's what makes it exciting: we have no idea what happens to us when we die. And even if it does mean your consciousness stops, well you won't be around to worry about that.
