Does anyone else somewhat enjoy being depressed. I feel like it acts as a replacement for the strong emotional connection that i'm lacking, and since i've never felt anything else it's somewhat comforting.
Same. Always felt a certain mix of melancholy and happiness.
Not exactly enjoying it, but it's been with me for so long that I don't even mind it anymore.
I used to feel the same way months ago, but recently I'm starting to think that the "I've given up" state of mind is just denial, and the brain trying to rationalize its shitty decisions. Just like that, the ride continues.

I wouldn't give up depression if it meant losing brainpower though, it's the only thing that makes me somewhat special
