I went to catholic school, and in 7th grade I got screamed at for being a heathen. All I did was have my vocab book open during prayer. Thing is I had complete and total faith in God at that point (as well as in teachers). That was the first time I ever felt hatred like that from an adult, and I'll never forget it. I still occasionally try to think of responses for that woman that don't involve crying in class.
