Anyone doesn't like music ?

I mean I am pretty sure that I am tone deaf and I can't follow a beat. Not just that but even when I like a song it never seems to do anything to me and I was never into it growing up.

Listen to my snow-ambient senpai :DDD

I'm pretty sure that if you don't like music, that's only because you havent found a good genre for you.
>>
>>29946799
What have you listened to?
Maybe you just haven't found the right music.
>>
I don't like live music. Does that count?
>>
>>29946799
It's okay. I tend to continually listen to the same shit over and over. Finding new artists or exploring new genres isn't very fun, I like to be comfy with songs I already know.

My parents told me as a child that music was haraam. I don't buy that bullshit anymore but now I have no idea what music I like beccause I've grown up without it.
>>
>>29948071
You can still listen to music now. Plus you can potentially hear a bunch of awesome shit for the first time.
>>
>what's your favorite band?
>I don't have one

Everyone looks at me like I'm a nigger that graduated.

I do listen to music but I do it in secret. I usually put on a Khan Academy video on my screen muted with the music from spotify playing in the background so my parents think I'm studying.

I also have a gilrfriend secretly, parents think dating will make my life miserable and that I should propose instead of asking on dates. I fucking hate Islam.

>>29948189
Ah I see I thought you had moved out. Run to the hills anon, your parents are crazy.

P.S. This is a song so watch out for your parents lol.
>>
>>29948189
Also you may like this song, your situation's a little similar.

Dunno if you're into rock though.

I am moving out to college this fall, However, it is only 30 minutes away for my home all though it is a very good private school in my state.

Are you that one anon that tried to kill himself on ustream because his family blamed him for the death of his father? If so, how are things?

Music can be emotionally affecting or moody in the moment but I find it disturbs and annoys me the rest of the time. It's not something that really offers anything long lasting for me, for the most part. It interrupts my thinking and gives me constant malaise and discord. Often I'll have 5 seconds of a song stuck on repeat in my brain, but in the wrong key or hitting the wrong note at the end or something. Fucking why.
>>
>>29948189
>I also have a girlfriend
fucking normie
>>
Music is just too simple and boring. I feel like you'd have to be an idiot to care much about it. Or like, motivated by money or idealism which could just as well be expressed in any other medium. I can't take those "music is my life" morons seriously though.

Some kid who's just discovered Pink Floyd or Chopin or some other entry level crap will probably try to refute me but ehh. I'm a man with an internet connection. By the time I was 25 I'd already listened to every bit of music in the world. Even the weird niche shit and dumb avant garde simpsonwave garbage.

I don't especially dislike music but it's not something I care about or would ever pay for either. With the exception of live shows maybe since the fireworks and lights make it entertainment on par with an afternoon at the movie theater.
>>
>>29948494
Musical is radical doooood, u just can't appreciate great art maaaaaaaaan.
Nah but seriously I'd hate to be you desu. Music is fucking fantastic if you find what you love.
Then again I'm an emotional person and since music is mostly about emotion it gets to me like nothing else, in a good way. You don't sound very emotional. To each their own though, I guess.
>>
>>29947941
I though so too, but consider people that are tone-deaf and have no sense for rythm at all.
They surely can't enjoy music.

>>29946799
google tone deaf test and do that, if you're tone deaf, give up maybe

Music isn't what it used to be. Music is dead.
>>
>>29948649
It's in a lul period, I wouldn't say it's dead.
Just wait a bit anon, maybe soon there'll be another band that'll come around and revive it.
>>
>>29948649
>>29948708
It's true of creative arts in general really. We're in this bizarre period where everything is Big Money, games, music, movies etc so it's all really corporatized and fake.
>>
>>29948768
My theory on this is a little conspiracy theory kookoo crazy and I know it but w/e I'll share any way.

Y2K really happened, the computers did take over. Not in the way that most people think, though. They're humans, humans have become 'computers' or 'robots'. Their feelings are dead and it's all about the ego now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1BdQcJ2ZYY

Maybe soon there'll be a song or piece of art or w/e so great that it will melt their icy hearts.

>insert south park clip where randy says melt their icy hearts with cool island song

I don't care for music really but this makes me feel cozy:

This has some truth to it. I didn't start listening to music until I found some niche music that I liked when I was around 16.
>>
>>29948494
>By the time I was 25 I'd already listened to every bit of music in the world.
I find that hard to believe. Also, most of the people that "live" for music are doing what most people do and exaggerating everything.

Music really isn't about rhythm though, at least not a considerable part of the musical landscape.

The best way to explain it would probably be to think about soundtracks for movies, as an analogy. A soundtrack isn't really meant to make you feel the beat, but it's meant to blend with the overall feeling/spirit of the scene depicted.

You should keep this in mind when you are trying to find new music. Music should accompany how you feel.

if you've never found music you enjoy, you're probably severely autistic.

it's not that you're untrustworthy, per se, more in the same sense that you wouldn't trust a retard with complex tasks that normal people can pick up on and become second nature to them (like forming and maintaining social relationships)

i will never trust a person who doesn't love animals, though.

Eh, I'm more of a cyborg. My gf and I are very into weaboo shit, in fact our first conversation was about anime. She's also never had a bf before me and I've never had a gf before her so we are both new to the world of relationships.
