I think they call those "transbians" or something? Just a variation on this mental illness.

But really, it's just another wicked sexual strategy. Kind of like the emasculated nu-males who subconsciously believe that their whiteknighting will get them sexual opportunities, those guys subconsciously believe that removing the "toxic" masculinity out of them will get them that.
