>When you're too old to be called talented anymore
That cuts deep for me
I wanted to be a formidable guitarrist.

>I wanted to be a formidable guitarrist.
Then practice you numbnut.
>>29946083
You're probably still considerably better than the average non-asian at whatever it is you were talented at.
>>29946264
>started playing at 16
>now 23
>subpar in every aspect
>kids that are 16 now play better than me
>>29946303
Well that's your own fault, isn't it?
Practice more.
There's no such thing as talent.
i met this guy who was my co-worker. he was like 30 or 40 something, autistic kid, but he played in a band when he was younger. i guess his wife makes good money so he can kick it at retail, that's what true love gets you.
anyway, he gave me his demo songs and they're all on my ipod. i consider that talent even in old age, especially since he still played guitar.
>>29946303
You have to practice more than for 5 minutes a day doing that one half a song you learned in your first week to become good.
>>29946332
i meant he had an autistic kid, not that he is one.
>>29946327
Kek, you're terrible at this.
Never said it wasn't my fault.
Stop.
>>29946333
Really?
That doesn't sound right
>>29946303
you can't compare yourself to others, anon. forget about outside anxieties and work on your passion
>>29946347
You can deny it all you want retard, but you need to practice more.
Stop coming up with excuses and fix your practice time.
>>29946285
I actually still get called talented deux be honest. But the age gimmick doesn't work in my favor anymore.
There's nothing wrong with being terrible at stuff
>>29946083
The girl in the picture is drawing with left brain.
>>29946477
A girl would have put much more effort into drawing her hair and eyes
>>29946477
Yes, and right brain is what you want to draw with right?
>>29946536
Not necessarily, a balance would be appropriate for realistic things.
>>29946567
Ah, that makes perfect sense.
Does learning to draw with your left hand help your right brain learn to draw as well?
>>29946477
the left/right brain dichotomy is a myth.
Same. As a child you're a talented genius, then as an adult you're just like everyone else. If you don't show constant improvement, you're nothing.
>>29946874
So what you're saying is that talent really isn't everything?
>tfw absolutely zero creativity
>>29946083
There is no such thing as talent. Only hard work and dedication. Practice, practice, practice.
