Watch this incredibly weird but entertaining anime called Kuuchuu Buranku...show about a psychologist's experiences with his patients. It even has a "permanent erection" episode. 8.5/10...strongly recommend.

Aku no Hana is a very good show that should be posted more on /r9k/.

Wolf Children is a lovely movie about parenthood.

Sakamichi no Apollon is cool and has jazz and music and stuff and is in the 60's and is cool.

Aku no Hana has been on the to read list for a very long time, especially after watching the final episode, but I just can't find myself to do it. I only ever read cutesy stuff like Koe no Katachi and Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san.

Everyone who didn't watch Jin-Roh should watch it. It's an underrated movie and perfect for robots.

Sadly they don't make movies like this anymore. It's hard to find serious anime these days that isn't the typical edgy bullshit that pretends to have a deep story.
