If I woke up and I was you, first thing I'd do is start learning a profitable skill. Since I'd be a paki it would probably be something to do with IT. Maybe software development. I'd work at it 10-12 hours a day, trying to get as much work on Upwork and Elance until my skills were enough to make decent money. I'd also contribute to open source stuff. My priority would be to get enough money to rent a decent flat in town with a proper adult bed, not a shitty tiny single bed with a spiderman duvet cover.
Then when my github was impressive enough I'd try to get a good job or find a business partner to do a start up.

This is actually kind off true, when I was 14 a girl asked me (fuck knows why) if I had a double bed and when I said no loads of people laughed at me.

I work in London. I've done the numbers and it makes more financial sense for me to rent now and buy later.
If I moved to a place where I could afford to buy right away, it would mean giving up a lot of income both now and in the future. Salaries in my industry are almost double in London, and the chances of progression are much higher. Wouldn't be the wise thing to do.
