You can get a guitar and amp for under $100. They won't be very good, but if you learn how to set up the guitar properly (just watch some youtube videos) it's perfect for starting out.

I hear it's pretty hard to learn Chinese languages.
I bought some CD ROM book learn mandarin thing from a charity shop. I'm kind of tempted to look at it, though I could only imagine how poorly inaccurate it actually is.
In my wish list of things to get myself to learn:
- Drawing
- Playing the Guitar
- Learning an new language. Japanese or Chinese mandarin. Basically something non-latin.
- Writing
- Reading and applying things from books
- Creating something electronic, like making a handheld out of a raspberry pi zero.
What I actually end up doing on my time off:
- playing videogames
- dicking around with computers and electronics
- buying random shit
- shitposting
- listening to classic rock
- cooking recipes
- cleaning because no other fucker does shit on their days off work.
I need to commit to a long-term project. I get too bored and distracted when I'm only doing one thing for too long.

Do you have anyone you know who already plays guitar? They might have a big collection you might be able to borrow from. My friend gave me like two guitars because he couldn't sell them for much and just wanted me to learn. (And i really did try but i suck at it. Never really had the space to practice till recently, ironically enough)
You could also try and see if you can get a copy of rocksmith with the cable on the cheap. Don't worry about the game, though it's quite fun, the cable you can use to set the guitar up with a bunch of PC amp software you can pirate.
(It's what my best friend used to do)
Or you can get a plug-in mini amp you can stick some headphones in. They don't cost too much and you don't cause so much noise for other people either.
I mean you don't need to spend much if you are just practising tabs and shit.

I used to have an acoustic guitar but I gave up learning it after I came to the realization that it doesn't satisfy my needs
Don't worry though, I can still get an alright guitar and an amp fresh for around 300 euros which isn't too much

I think the damn knuckle part is double jointed, which actually sucks because when I move the finger like the others it goes "clonk! clonk! clonk! clonk!" because the knuckle is constantly shifting position.
