I'm quite upbeat about it. It's sort of like a process of elimination, I'm going through each memory of doing something I regret and getting over it one at a time.
It gets easier.

Old fag here. I try not to think about the past. At 30 I married and bought a house. Ended up very unhappy, though loved my kid. Had a degree but worked in a mundane repetitive job, hated it sometimes. But now I try to stay in the moment.
