How the fuck does a TV know if it's idle or not? It has no way of knowing if someone is watching whatever it is showing unless it has a camera or some shit.

Sorry, this may have sounded confusing. The TV turns off after idling for an hour; this is something I know.
So I came home and the TV was on. That's impossible as it would have turned off an hour after it was turned on. So, someone or SOMETHING turned it on within an hour of me getting home.

If no buttons on the remote or TV have been pushed within an hour, it turns off. It gives you a minute warning before it does so you can stop it. It's annoying as fuck, but it's a good safety feature in case I do fall asleep.
