it was the perfect crossroads of technology and culture

internet was mainly used by upper middle class enthusiastic nerds and no social media mainsteam cancer

videogames stopped looking like paint splotches

media lacked agenda shoving and jew attempts at social engineering

anime became mainstream. being emo was cool.

colleges were already greedy jews at this point but at least they were still respected institutions for education instead of highschool 2.0 for roasties

It seems 2007 is the most meme year ever so everyone probably does that here.

I think I usually separate the time with 1991, 1996, 2001, 2007-2009 (can't decide the exact cutoff point here) and 2013.

2006 was actually a good year. My worst days at school (2003-2005) had finished and I had made a few friends. My Dad wasn't yet an out of control alcoholic yet either.

Ever notice the older people in pubs are usually in like a group of 2. When you get past 25 your friends list drops dramatically due to kids, wives etc.

I was born in '97. This is how it is to me.

1997-1999
Don't remember

>2000-2006
Golden days of early childhood. It was a more innocent time. Enough said

>2007-2010
Obama came in and fucked the entire ethos up of the World I was born into. This was when thing s went downhill. There's still nostalgia to be found, however. Halo 3 release was the most fun I've ever had in my life.

>2011-2013
I was still bluepilled enough to think that society was still headed in a net positive direction. Things got worse and worse, but I knew nothing of it as a teenager.

>2014-first half of 2015
I was given a thick red pill shoved straight up my ass. Very little hope for the future of mankind marked this period

Second half of 2015-Current Year
Trump enters my life. I am now an ardent worshiper of Kek and a professional NEET soldier in the Meme Wars. Maybe if Trump wins, a better life can be had for me. This is the only hope I've had in a long time.

I agree that late '00s started in 2007, but 2006 already had some traits of it.

In my opinion,
Early 2000s: 2000-2003 (though culturally it's like the late '90s until mid-2001 or so)
Mid-2000s: 2004-2006
Late 2000s: 2007-2009 (though culturally it ended somewhere between late 2008 and late 2012)

Even though I was born in 1990, I grew up in a house that was poor enough that we never had anything really modern. Bunch of '80's stuff everywhere - TV, radio, cassette players, etc.

Most 90's nostalgia stuff is only things I was aware of in the background. Most of my childhood nostalgia is about 80's stuff (i wasn't even around wtf) and 2000's stuff because no one's really aware of their surroundings until they hit 10 or so.
