I can identify a lot with Light: introverted, smart, passionate. He literally did nothing wrong. Too bad he lost to a literal autist at the end.

He was too reckless during that arc and didn't think nearly as hard as he did with L. That being said, what Light should have done was have Mikami write all the names in the fake Death Note (because he knew they were going to tamper with it), except for Aizawa's. Aizawa was already leaking everything to Near in a bid to 'frame' Light because 'he' was actually Kira.

That would have been perfect.
>>
>>29894869
Atleast at the end of the day he killed L

fNormies always like L or Mello when its Light who cleanses the world of degeneracy and is ultimately the most powerful character in the series
>>
>>29894939
Yeah the near character was complete shit. In my opinion, the show ended once L died.
>>
>>29894988
I agree, and the second half had wierd vibes
>>
>>29894869
Nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor.
>>
>cheering for Light

You do realize that once all the criminals were dealt with and there was no more violence, he'd target the lazy next, right? Eventually, he'd start killing all you worthless NEETs.
>>
>>29895023
Too bad he literally had no sex drive. Could have fugged so many qts but instead he just used them like pawns because of muh world peace.
>>
>>29895072
People who actually want to be remembered have to make sacrifices like that you wizard piece of shit.
>>
>>29895072
>muh world peace

No, he had a God Complex and the Death Note allowed him to fulfill that role. Light was all about power and manipulating others.
>>
>>29895031
He already had most of the world agreeing with his judgment and wars went down he could have been the alternative to what we are now going into a "world government"
>>
Normies don't hate him... people have mixed opinions about him that's all.
>>
>you will never ever watch death note for the first time again

Sucks...it was the first anime I had watched and I watched it in English...I should have seen the sub instead...better performances.

Okie...good to know
>>
>>29895031
How the fuck would he find the neets?
He wouldn't to be able to see them or hear about their names.
>>
>>29895278
tagliatelle maybe?
>>
I feel like Raito was Ls true successor, a young talented genius vs an the best detective in the world. When he took over L's position it was awesome
>>
>>29895031
NEETs are the product of the shitty job market. There will eventually be no jobs due to automatization.
Raito will kill all the greedy businessmen and society would become socialist.

I would love to watch a Death Note that took place 10 years in the future after Light defeats L.

>everyone walks in uniform
>no emotion
>Light's gaze is cast upon all
>universal 'peace'
>anyone who even attempts to do 'wrong' is immediately gunned down without remorse, then immediately going back to their routine

Meanwhile, a secret group of teens/young adults gathers and tries to come up with a plan to stop this 'god' that is Light/Kira. It would be an action series that would focus, not so much on Light trying to stop them, but these heroes trying to catch him at the top of his, I guess, God Tower? Oh god, I need to write now. Goodbye!
>>
>>29895534

Plot Twist: These heroes are all orphans who were never given a name because their mom died during birth (or maybe this can just apply to the leader of the group), so they can't be killed by Kira, that will be a climax.

This glorious bastard.
>>
>>29895072
That made him perfect. He transcended being a slave to his base urges and cared about his ideals and humanity above all else.
>>
>>29895031
I heard about this but what was the context?

He was probably referring to lazy public officials who don't care about helping the people. He would know their names. However, he wouldn't know the names of the average neet.

He even forgave criminals if they repented for their crime. He was a merciful kami as long as you didn't get in his way of saving the world.

>I heard about this but what was the context?

Takumi was broadcasting Kira's Laws and one of them was, "Kira will not forgive those who are lazy or contribute nothing."... that was Mikami though, and Light mentally responded, "It's too soon for those sorts of demands."

I've watched Death Note literally 20x sub and dubbed.
>>
>>29895767
Honestly, if he created a better world there would probably be less injustice and less of an excuse not to go out and contribute. He probably thought it was too soon because the just world he foresaw wasn't yet created.

And just to clarify why I don't know about the context, I don't know about that quote because I stopped watching towards the end of season 2 when I found out he lost. I'm not watching humanity's savior fall.
>>
>>29894988
i actually liked near. that whole switcharoo he pulled on mikami and light blew my mind. mello was also kinda cool too, in the sense that he was more reckless than L or near
>>
>literally the perfect anime
>and then L dies
>>
>>29895917
>I'm not watching humanity's savior fall.

I like you, anon.

>>29896121

That was bullshit because Light's plan literally fell apart because of a mistake Mikami made. A mistake Light specifically warned him against making i.e. using the real Note. Near won through sheer fucking luck.
