I think a lot of ideology today is constructed to win a propaganda war, a piece of the Cold War which is still ongoing. The moderate left and right are the ones serving the interest of the Western globalist elite, the far-right nationalism is serving Russia, Iran and China's elite. People everywhere are led to believe they serve their own interests, or at least their own country's interests, but really many of them are pawns.

I sometimes feel like I should care, but more and more I'm realizing that all this social bullshit is just the newest form of entertainment. Television is less popular now, so instead we're making our own shows by doing stupid shit and getting on the news. As a NEET I really have no personal investment in any of the sides, and the show is getting old so I'll probably just go back to working on my hobbies.
