Is it worth going back to school really, really late, when I already have a degree (I would be about 29 or 30 when it was a feasible course of action).
It's just that I hate my degree, hate my job, and hate my life, and want to escape it.
It might just be best to save as much as possible and then live like a massive hobo on a tiny income stream until I die. I live in the US so college costs a million-trillion dollars anyway.

Why do you think that a different degree leading to a different wageslave position will be any better than your current situation?

Because I ended up in the most boring position imaginable. But, you're probably correct.
What I really want to do is just not fucking work and have time to study whatever I feel like whenever I feel like it.

If that's the case, another degree won't help, in fact it'll make it harder because of higher debt.

Getting another degree won't help that. If you want a good job you need to study shit that leads to the good jobs. You won't be getting welfare to study conspiracy theories or debate the finer points of any story construction. Just enjoy the fact you at least have a job and start saving for retirement so you can fuck prostitutes in your 70s.
