I have sensitive skin and problems that come with that. all of them went away when i cut sugar and limited carbs in my diet.

Take a ton of photos of yourself. Goof around with it. Over time (years) you'll feel fine with seeing yourself, even when looking back at older photos where you absolutely hated yourself. Worked for me at least.
