I think what makes a place comfy is a kind of isolated/contained atmosphere
it can happen in a crowd so long as it looks like you wouldn't be disturbed; a place for a quiet sit or a calm conversation (even possible in a busy market with the right lighting that allows the background and business to fade out of view)

Could a cavern home ever be truly cozy? Imagine having a nice cabin tucked away into the corner. With a little mushroom farm just outside. Lots of soft strings of lights hung along the cavern walls.

I'm also thinking a nice enclosed house in the cave. Something to keep the bugs out. That campsite looks alright but you just know there's all sorts of creepy crawlies on those rocks. And the second you turn off the lights and stay still, they'll crawl up and sit on your warm face.
