I really want to learn Bulgarian, but first I need to learn Cryllic. There's some letters that confuse me. I understand that it's phonetic, but I don't understand how to translate some of them into the Latin alphabet. Help?

Oh, well, that makes it a tad more difficult. Here we commonly do that, but it's weird because there is no standard way - for example, our last letter [ya] - can be written as ya, ia (very rarely, haven't seen some use it that much) or q. Ch can be written using 4 (since our word for four starts with ch) and sh with 6 (same as with 4), but it can be seen by some people as a stupid way to write. People here generally don't have any trouble understanding what the other person meant when writing bulgarian words with latin letters, but it might be confusing to someone who doesn't know the language that well.

Yup, pretty much that. Tran can also be written as trun, and any other word using that letter, but that's not a big problem.
Yeah, rolling r's can be a problem, considering the fact that our r (that looks like a p) is a rolling r. I can't really offer any solid advice there though, but try imitating a cat purring. Sounds really weird, I know. If you manage to, you'll find that your tongue is located at the front of your mouth, near the teeth, when you're doing it. That's pretty much the key to the rolling r.
