>how hard is it to find an ivy league boyfriend?
Very hard on Tinder. If they're Ivy League tier and looking for an LTR they won't use Tinder.
How to find one to waifu/husbando:
1) Have connections through family. If you run in the same circles as them you're bound to meet them.
2) Go to an Ivy League school. Chances are good that as long as you have a pulse throughout college you will have OPPORTUNTIES to MEET people. You still need to be capable of having relationships.
3) Meet them at conferences relating to professional careers. Ivy League usually means high status and they will go to these events to show off. If you're smart or at least not dumb enough to do well in a professional career like Law or Medicine you will meet successful people at these events.
Professionals are looking for people with similar status that can relate to them and are ambitious and hard working enough to achieve a high status themselves. They are often working so dating is done within a small pool of people related they might in those three places above.

>Very hard on Tinder. If they're Ivy League tier and looking for an LTR they won't use Tinder.
wow - that's really saddening. i'm sad to hear, but thank you. i was going to ask 'where do you find them - those who are educated and interested in LTR?' - but you answered below, thank you!
>Meet them at conferences relating to professional careers. Ivy League usually means high status and they will go to these events to show off. If you're smart or at least not dumb enough to do well in a professional career like Law or Medicine you will meet successful people at these events.
#1-3, thank you for the practical advice. really appreciate it. in regards to professional conferences, is it usually the guy that approaches the girl or how do you even meet someone at a conference if it's seminar-oriented? is it when people break off into mini-exercise groups? or how? mingling in the lounge? what if you go alone and you have no friends so you're literally sitting / standing at the free food area and nobody to talk to? ;-; fuck? does 1 require friends to even be there? that sounds honestly horrifying so i have no idea how that could happen... but at least i have the info now! hahaha :-( so thank you ;-;
>Professionals are looking for people with similar status that can relate to them and are ambitious and hard working enough to achieve a high status themselves.
real talk, i appreciate that about driven, like-minded individuals.
>They are often working so dating is done within a small pool of people related they might in those three places above.

Most of the people who go to conferences are there to network so people are going to be sociable. I've gone to conferences and met people in team building exercises and workshops and I've also met people during breaks or in lounge areas. They will sometimes have young professional conferences where you can meet people of a similar age in your field, you will all be in town for one to three days so going out at night with a group is easy.
I think guys will often approach girls but everyone should be prepared to approach or to be in n area where they can be approached if that makes sense. People with less well developed social skills view interaction very mechanically buy it is often very fluid. In fact girls are usually the ones who initiate the approach by staring at men they find attractive which is a signal that they'd like to be approached. but like I said earlier if you like someone be prepared to approach them if they don't approach you.
Oh and you can easily go alone to conferences. You can often be asked to attend by a group of colleagues to represent a company or group or to gather info on current practices. I work in engineering research and I go to conferences to present findings and recruit interest as well as to gather information on other projects and meet new people who can contribute to my research interests now or later.
>match with a qt instantly after liking her
>Drunk at the time so I message her
>Talk for a bit, seems to be getting on alright
>Fall asleep
>Start another conversation a couple days later
>Talking about what we do
>Every message she sends ends with hahaha
>Convo stops
Is "hahaha" code for I'm doing this because I feel sorry for you?
if these are the guys that go on tinder then there's no point in even trying lmao
>>29860288
She probably doesn't want to come off as being too serious or overly interested (re:desperate). Have you met any of these people in person? If they end convos with short messages like "lol" or "haha" then they have run out of things to say in which case you might want to set up future plans that escalate the relationship.
>>29859802
true wise words! you are an altruistic soul! thank you for the kind direction and guidance! i'm looking forward to future conferences and hopefully will start looking up workshops i can participate in when i become ready in the future !!
>In fact girls are usually the ones who initiate the approach by staring at men they find attractive which is a signal that they'd like to be approached.
woah, i didn't know that?? oh shit *covers eyes* lmao

i wanted to write this to you but i kept getting blocced for non-ascii chars (i so did not have any!!!!) >:o please know im sending all emojis 2 u
>>29860341
why? :( desu i don't even know what kind of 'guys' go on tinder bc i haven't explored yet. these are just some of the random people in my card captor sakura / yugioh collection, but i have yet to ever talk to someone or continue swiping. i've only logged on 2-4 times and i pretty much did it when i was super bored and trying to see what all the talk was about.. but logged off and deleted the app as soon as i ended the swiping session. i know it's weird as hell but i guess i should probably muster up the courage to talk / give a shit / swipe to find cool people, since i have seen some girls say they found their man through here?
>>29861489
I'm speaking from a guy's perspective. If you're a girl then it's very easy
>>29860804
This is the first one I've managed to talk to at some length so no I haven't actually made any plans for dates or anything. I sort of run out of things to say after I ask what they do and what their interests are.
To be honest, I'm sort of nervous about meeting up and it being really awkward because she doesn't actually like me when they meet up with me.
>>29861489
Dude heads up if you message first guys will like that.
>>29861427
If you're curious I came to this board many years ago when I became more red-pilled which revealed how much of a sperg I really was. I was in a dark place and wanted to make my life worse by staying here, but I've managed to become more of a normie since then. Now I lurk and give random advice on several boards.
The hardest part about social interactions is getting started. I was a 24 year old kv in grad school who regarded what hobbies he had as time wasters between assignments which I took very little pride in. I started by getting more focused on my work and then gaining a few hobbies which I could either take pride in or involve other people. My work network allowed me to meet similar people who I made great connections with that made it much easier to have a social life.
>>29861881
> I'm sort of nervous about meeting up and it being really awkward because she doesn't actually like me when they meet up with me
Girls and boys use Tinder to meet people. She wants to meet you if she's talking to you. You won't know if she likes to be around you in person unless you meet her.
>I sort of run out of things to say after I ask what they do and what their interests are
That's because online conversations are limited. My texts are usually brief and to the point. Most often my texting conversations end in plans for contact in person. You are using this app to meet people so this is the next step.
Are you an ivy student yourself, OP? From the way you type I really doubt that any of them would want more than a casual hook up with you tbqh
>5'11
why do manlets always overcompensate?
>>29862019
>She wants to meet you if she's talking to you. You won't know if she likes to be around you in person unless you meet her.
Kinda sucks when nobody has ever came up to you because they were interested in you at a bar or a club. I suppose you're right though.
>>29862198
Like I posted earlier in this thread bars and clubs are different. If girls are trying to make eye contact with you then they are interested and would like to be approached. Sorry but you're going to need to practice escalating interpersonal communication if you want to have relationships (even one night stands).
>>29862239
I'd just prefer it if someone liked me they'd come up and say so. Very childish but there you go.
>>29861489
how do I FUCK Ryan from google
I wonder if Ryan from Google has bf
>>29862265
It's the breaks kid. I'd like to have a lot of things handed to me but that's not how my life has worked out so far. I've just accepted certain realities and worked to change what little of my world that I can so I can be satisfied.
Tinder is well past its time. Everyone knows about it now so it is only full of lonely guys who missed out when it was still fresh. And the few girls who are left either use it solely as a self-esteem booster or only respond to 9/10 turbochads.
>>29862308
I guess I'll need to face facts and grow up a little then. Thanks.
>>29858546
Not an Ivy, but I went to MIT.
>inb4 obese Stallman-esque autist
I'm decent-looking, in shape, and professionally successful. Though definitely introverted and probably spend way too much time here.
I'm just tired of not finding any women who want relationships after dates on Tinder and not getting results quickly with OKC. CMB is ok but slower. Though I assume you are either gone by now or not in my city. Really just looking for another cute smart girlfriend after a multiyear relationship ended over my gf's ongoing severe social anxiety. And more post-college friends in general. Trying to be a bit more open.
Here is a throwaway:

Yes I am real. No I'm not telling which city here. Major U.S. one though.

Ayy lmao look at that manlet
FUCK you OP. women have no problems with dating sites, it is terribly skewed to their advantage. you dont need any advice, just use the fucking app.
>>29861881
>I'm sort of nervous about meeting up and it being really awkward because she doesn't actually like me when they meet up with me.
S A M E ! !! ! ! ! !! ! EXACTLY THE SAME. wtf i thought i was the only one in the world that thought this and was super sheltered bc of it, hahaha thank you twin ;-;
>>29861980
i mean i guess :( idk i wouldn't mind doing it (i actually never do bc grew up in conservative asian household and mom was a stacy who had guys just coming to her; people from other schools would literally show up at her highschool across town. ffs. but yeah - doesn't it make the girl look desperate if she does?)
>>29861766

>>29863591
You are legit b8ing now
white/asian couples are everywhere I go
>>29863591
White dudes love Asian women. What shithole of a city do you live in?
>>29862648
>Doesn't it make a girl look desperate
Not really, it just shows you're interested enough to message them first. If a girl messaged me first I'd be happy.
>>29863682
um where the fuck do you live??? tokyo @ the army base or something?!?!?!?!
>>29863750
los angeles. i thought that was a myth (or that it was only for a select few people). i'm a bit new to 4chan - despite having known and been around channers since Y2K, but some of the /pol/ ideologies i see floating make me feel like white supremacy is the base mentality lmao
if so that's quite sad
>>29863776
if the girl wants to be the submissive one and likes it when the guy takes the lead / would want a guy who is a leader in the relationship + in general, wouldn't messaging him first fuck up the dynamic and make him think that you are the type of girl to always make the first move? (i'm so not) and then wouldn't he just never take the initiative bc he thinks you're that type of girl?
perfect first date and eternal restground
>>29863959
Some guys don't message first because they think they might fuck it up. I don't think it has anything to do with relationship roles.
Also the whole /pol/ thing is just a /pol/ thing. They say they want to help the white race but I know people who post on there regularly wishing they had a qt Asian gf.
>>29863959
NYC. I would think that it's the same in LA
>>29858488
Ironically I learned to view women as people through Tinder.
Coming after a really bad breakup I decided to try it. At first I was very direct with the few matches I had, then I was too coy and beat around the bush so they stopped replying. This led to me getting bored, which led to me not really thinking about what I replied. I ended up having real conversations with some girls going on some dates.
I was lucky to get asked out by a girl. 19, and fat. She asked to fuck and we got a hotel. I paid, she got weed. I bought her a burger.
After that it got easier. I had sex with a few more girls (all fat) and even made a couple of friends.
Definitely recommend it, but you have to have some sort of presence of mind, be photogenic and, oh yeah, LOWER YOUR STANDARDS.
>>29861489
are you a roastie or a gaybot?
either way you should know better that tinder is just for hookups, and all you have to do as a roastie is be present and receive dickings.
>>29864219
>lower your standards and fuck fat girls
i'd rather stay a frustrated virgin than sleep with hamwhales who will spread their legs if you buy them a cheeseburger.

i don't think that's hard but my problem lies in more autism and having to pretend like i want to talk about basic shit with normies when i'd rather be studying cryptography with leonardo da vinci or exploring the cosmos with stephen hawking types. hopefully one of them will be it. although i wouldn't mind watching paint dry with either nick ceran, or casey... ; o ; !!!!
