I was homeschooled most of my early life because my n parents thought they were better than the school system, without exposer to other kids I never developed social skills and failed my life so far.

I tried to be cool in primary school but in retrospect, it just made me look like a loser. I learnt quickly - even at that young age - that you can't be something you are not. Ever since then i acted as i naturally and as a result have attracted friends who are likeminded. Nothing good comes out of pretending to be something you're not.
