So I'm in a bit of a situation, parents told me that I need to give them my transcript so tgat they can submit my grades to the section A housing department, so that they will still give us housing money. Thing is I don't know if they're planning a clever ruse, just to try to see my grades or if it's actually legitimate. Grades are a bit shit by the way, so appreciate the help in answering this.

It all depends what exactly you gotta lose from your parents knowing about your shit grades. If all they'll do is yell at you then give it to them (not gonna do real damage, might even get you moving). If your financial security is on the line or something as critical as that, play it safe.
