What's your opinion on the early 2000s, /r9k/?
It was cool.
The greatest time in history (even if 9/11happened), very few conflicts, economic growth, perfect balance between conservative and liberal values, technology made for the consumer and corporations seemed trustworthy.

The Internet was incredibly degenerate back then, of course, it is now too.
People were rougher. There was less protection against social abuse then, as opposed to now.
Women were pretty much the same, although it does seem like the number of truly decent, non-degenerate women were far greater in number back then.
Politics were tame then compared to now. Street crime was common, and media such as console gaming, listening to music and the Internet was still fresh and 'new' for most people.
