How do I get rid of the smell?
What is it caused by? I'm guessing laundry.

Okay few easy things to do:
Open curtains and windows: lets fresh air in and sunshine kills some microbes/bacteria
Use deodorant everyday: minimises your own odour
Use an antimicrobial spray such as "Dettol: Glen 20": spray this shit everywhere; cupboards, under bed, on covers, furniture, carpet, curtains etc.
I don't because I spray everything that collects smells down with lysol about once a week. There aren't any dirty dishes or dirty clothes in my room, unless you count previously worn socks that don't stink or the jeans that I have on. The only dirty thing about my room are the blinds caked with sawdust and a couple dust bunnies in one area that I cannot sweep. There's also some dust and dirt under my mattress, but that doesn't really matter.
