does anyone remember this fucked up kids' book where this kid gets sick and starts mutating and changing colors, maybe turning into a plant, then becomes merged with the entire house. It was like the ending to Akira and it scared the shit out of me. Does anyone remember this? It was probably 30 pages, color, a kids' picture book.

I was born 1995 and I would have read it age 10 at the latest, so it would be from year<2005
