Why do schools and collages always have posters putting up real shitty advice? Like just be yourself, or report bullying to the teacher or therapist?

My uni did something like this last year, they spent a shitload on some path to success campaign putting up a bunch of posters, giving flyers out, painting some of the sidewalks and even having councilors mention it when you went in for things like degree audits and choosing classes. They were supposed to be tips on how not to fail, but were all variations of go to class and do your homework and if you are failing just try harder.
