That was me in 9th grade and half of 10th grade. Then I moved to a new school that was way stricter than my previous one. Students were forced to go to the cafeteria during lunch, no library or eating in the halls. So I sat at a table by myself for 3 months, it was absolute hell. I constantly wished I was dead. Then a Chad came and sat with me, he tried so hard to be friendly with me but I was (and still am) an edgy autistic introvert. He would ask me questions and just try to be my friend but I would blow him off with one word answers. Then he brought his friends over to sit with me; a white trash Chad, a short gay guy, and a slutty brunette with huge boobs. I could tell they didn't want to sit with me, but the Chad forced them to plus I think they felt sorry for me.
Thinking back on this 10 years later, I realize what a nice guy that Chad was. He could have brought me out of my introverted shell if I just put in the slightest bit of effort, but I lacked the willpower.
6 years later I start dating this girl who was friends with the aforementioned Chad when we were in high school. The Chad organized a get-together with his wife, my gf (his old friend) and myself to get drunk at his house. I refused to go because I didn't want him to bring up the times about how he saw me sitting alone at lunch; I didn't want my gf to find out what I loser I was. She took this as a sign of me being way too introverted and anti-social which led to her dumping me.
To this day I don't think he would have brought up those horrible memories, but the mere possibility forced me to act reclusive.

I wore XXXL maroon hoodies, even though I was a Large, and t-shirts made of super soft fabric, and salty MARPAT cammies 3 sizes larger than what I should wear while going commando, and high tops with the coziest socks I could find, in the winter I have and equally cosy and soft Texas A&M Canadian beanie, every other season and Baylor snap back. Always wore super dark vintage shades becsuse it had a warm and relaxed vibe to see the world through dim, cosy lenses. Never really paid attention to what I wore, I liked the colors and it was cosy as heck. Also had a pink cherry blossom backpack although I was a guy. Everyone loved me and I was amazing at track and field, mostly because I was hoping to get mugged or killed during our downtown runs, and tried to work myself to death. People thought of me as the cool kid, even though I had no genuine friends other than people who would buddy up to me.
I always did my best to be friends with the loners, weordos, etc, they were the best damn people I met.
