why cant i just be happy with what i have going for me? for instance:

why cant i just be happy with what i have going for me? for instance: im genuinely happy to be around my gf and hang out. but she's stressed about her life right now (family chit)so we haven't been having much sex. even though her being around makes me happier than her not being around, having no sex makes me feel like i'd be happier alone than with her (i.e makes me think about breaking it off).
why can't i be content with what i have? isnt everything she offers me a bonus compared to being alone?
