giving a dog a human name seems really fucking awkward to me. am I weird?

I'm fine with other people doing it, but I've been going through baby name lists etc. for days now and can't figure out anything that wouldn't feel really awkward saying.

with a male dog I could call it something silly like a grumpy old man's name but it's a female dog. my parents condition on taking care of it while I'm out of town was that I don't name it "dog" like I planned to. any suggestions?

You often see roasties giving dogs/cats kids' names they like. Jeffrey, William, et cetera.

Any mythological beasts or deities you like? Garm, Griffin, et cetera? Real world animals like Bear or Raven(for a black dog)? Pop culture references like Gizmo?
