the problem is that they act like robots and enforce the law to the letter in situations where it is not necessary, eg jaywalking on an abandoned street or rolling through a stop sign when no traffic is coming

It's not that I have a problem with authority, but rather the lack of psychiatric training, lack of proper funding, etc. The police forces doesn't apply stringent screening standards, and tends to ignore obvious psychiatric problems with officers such as anger or control issues.

because the cops in my city are dicks. I'm white and I get stopped all the damn time walking places. They'll ask you a billion questions just looking for an excuse to tazer you, throw your face to the ground, and arrest you.
