I've never tormented an animal to its death but I often like to put my pets in purposely distressful situations and laugh at them. I'll put them in a dark space or in the bath tub and find their panicked reactions amusing. I'll never physically harm them though and there are times where I feel a little bit bad that I've scared them too much.
I don't know if I count as a psychopath because I do care about my pets and care for them well otherwise. I often wonder if my behavior toward them is the result of being relentlessly bullied throughout most of my childhood and adolescence.
