I'm not saying it's 100% valid, but it offers a way better explanation as to why it works than nofap does. I guess nofap could work in the same way, since you'd be avoiding porn anyway, but I feel like just cutting out porn would be enough.

Yeah, I can see how that's true. The bigger picture just being excessive internet use. But if you were to try and wean yourself off of it, you'd probably want to start with something like porn or vidya, or whatever you waste the most time doing.
