I wish I could use my mic. I want to make some friends but I always get to the stage where people want to voice com and then I freeze up and we can't progress the friendship. Meeting people online is hard enough and takes a lot of courage but I'm really scared of speaking and I've thrown away a lot of potentially good friends because they become bored with my typing. I'm getting better at real life which is good, like eye contact and speaking without a nervous tone, but I can't find a way to get better with online. I thought multiplayer games where it's helpful to talk would make me learn now but it still is one of the scariest things.

I usually learn better by reading up on shit on my own time, then doing it anyway. Once I get oriented I should be fine.
I'm just glad I won't need to interact with more than 3 people total. I'll also be making more at this job, so it should speed up my plans to live somewhere more remote than where I am now. I just want to move with my doggo to the country.
I've pretty much given up on the gf idea. I'll never use tinder or online dating or any of that shit. I don't like bars. I don't like clubs, and I doubt I'll find one in the woods, the library or an automotive plant.
