Who here lives in the middle of nowhere? This is the downtown district in my town.
>>
Places like that are so comfortable to be in...or pass through. Big ass roads, few buildings, no people/traffic.

City kids would never understand.
>>
>>29799143
Just because I live in the city doesn't mean I haven't been out in the boonies and agricultural counties countless times.
>>

the best thing about it is not a libtard or shitskin in sight while citycucks get enriched by Tyrone on a daily basis
>>

You don't get it. I don't even get the background noise of society to feel like I'm still a member of it. Also, there is nothing to do.

Wow that's a very barren main street. Do you have plans of moving to a city? I'm seriously considering moving to NYC and fucking up my pockets just to experience a lively environment.
>>
>>29799590
Yeah we only have one shop. I lived in Glasgow for a couplenof years and it was glorious but there's a lot of crime there, so ended up moving back. I still go on the odd trip to the cities, that's enough for now. What's the closest city to you?
>>
>>29799883
Did you ever get assaulted or have a crime committed against you?

Washington, D.C. is the closest city to me but it's welfare central and a bad excuse for a city.d

Kek, I have small town family, they visit from time to time. They are beyond rich with a mansion and a weekend house and they hate it.
They complain about everything closing after 8pm, about having one store that sells luxury food and that's it, about not being able to buy fucking fruit because the supermarket runs out.
Their eldest son cake to the city to become an engineer but could handle the city and went back after one semester.
And that's small towns for you, I lived all my life in a fucking enormous city and i wouldn't trade it for anything, not even a tropical paradise
>>
>>29800016
Just a couple of fights, but a lot if trash carry knives. Quite bad for Protestant vs Catholic violence too.

>>
>>29800186
Look I get it. A fun thing isn't fun after the 100th time. But there is always something to do in new york. You couldn't pray for something interesting to happen in my town unless it's a family member's heroin addiction.
>>
>>29799025

Looks comfy tbdesu
>>
>>29800191
Glasgow bitches are easy as fuck, there are lots of stunners but for some reason, all their vagoos looked like a ripped out fireplace. Would only settle down with a nice highland girl. Lowlanders don't do it for me.
>>
>>29800235
Yup you can pay to go to shows, pay for drinks in different bars, so many different cultures that will sell you their food (I love culture) and you can't beat the energy and vibes of the big city.
>>
>>29799475
I know this feel. Mt Isa here
>>
>>29800356
You don't have to do those things everyday. But if I could go to a cool show every one or two months that would help break up the monotony of small town life.
>>
>>29800191
Getting pissy Cletus? Why don't you go next door to your sisters or the other way to your cousin's and open a moonshine and fuck?
>>
I guess the grass is greener on the other side cause I live in the middle of crowded, expensive SF bay area and your pic is looking mighty appealing OP.
>>
>>29800302
It's depressing. That picture was a heavily set up shot. What you don't see is how decrepit most of the buildings are and all the old fat women slumping around.
>>
the one building in my town is a gas station, convenience store and restaurant all in one. it's really beautiful out here but i miss the city even though i grew up in a cabin. i miss being able to bus places but there's a lot less socializing to be done out here so that's a plus
>>
>>29800399
Fuck food and shows, there are so many things to learn some places started teaching classes for free, a friend sent me an invitation for a free 3d pricing class or a free special effects class but I couldn't go to the first and the second one wasn't worth the hassle

I prefer rural areas, so for me, it's fine. Not many people care when I drive my sports cars recklessly on back roads or shoot my guns in my backyard or in the woods.
>>
>>29800620
I visited one of the smallest towns in America, it was 5 blocks long I was a kid and I still remember my dad showing me the entire town in 15 minutes and I couldn't believe it.
Most people there are elderly and never wanted to move, I would be surprised if it broke the 50 people population
>>
>live in Corner Brook, NL

seriously, i'd feel anxious living in a town of over 100k and bored of living somewhere with a population of under a couple thousand. it's not like i do much but chill in my parents basement or go to work

>>
Yep, panhandle of oklahoma, population is like 600.

>>
>>29800921
Quite the opposite.

People in small towns are usually more bonded and social.

In the city, you're just a number in a crowd. No one is going to greet you. No one is going to even acknowledge your existence. More people = Higher bystander effect = More likely to be a robot.
>>
Other than doing shit like video related, what's even the point of living in a big city anyway?

>what's even the point of living in a big city anyway
Easy access to a multitude of stores/attractions.

For example, our city has a huge park that holds events. It also has an aquarium nearby, Sports stadium, art exhibits, plenty of fancy street restaurants, movies, a university, clubs..it's endless m8.
>>
>>29801030
True, but I can still get the same perks just by driving 30 miles to the nearest big town, while still enjoying not having to live there.
>>
>>29800959
It's our main street it's not very large and is definitely not a place anyone needs to go. On a side not Columbia, MD is very nice. Are you semi-rich? The mall in columbia is also really nice.

This is correct. I've lived in both cities and rural areas, and it's a lot easier to get away with being a robot in the city.
Everybody is up in each other's business in the country, it's fucking annoying.

i'm pretty sure Augusta is considered urban, m8. try living somewhere with 1/10th the population (or, god forbid, somewhere with 1/100th the population)

Kinda semi-related, but have you ever driven on the highway and come across towns that are marked on maps...but you have no idea why? I swear, the Midwestern US is full of these places. You're driving up the interstate and its corn corn corn corn corn town corn corn corn..ad nauseam as the town disappears just as quickly into the fields as it appeared. You have absolutely no idea why it's marked as a major town on the map, at a glance it doesn't look much bigger than a truck stop.
>>
>>29800959

I just moved here not too long ago for work. I'm pulling in a good amount of money, but I've got a shitton of debt as well. I plan on moving out in December now that I've got a feel for the real estate market here.

>>29801435
I have family that lives out in a hick town (5000 people) in rural georgia and I would take that any day over Augusta. Imagine a 200k city, except the population is 3/4 niggers, half the buildings are abandoned, and heavy chemical plants and toxic dump sites are scattered everywhere. I don't even know if I can call it a city, it's something else entirely.

Yeah, I wish I could stay in that area all the time, but unfortunately my job is right in the middle of the shittiest part of town so I have to see the worst of the worst every day. They just need to nuke everything south of gordon highway, especially that fucking paper mill.
>>
>>29801567
That's pretty spot on, I think most of the old jobs were from the textile and chemicals industry. When everything moved over to China shit hit the fan hard, just like Detroit.
