>big guy

are these demeaning phrases? why do chads/normies do this?
>>
>>29797274
Not demeaning.

Chads are used to robots and robot types responding with aggression out of jealousy/ perceived slights/ desire to quell insecurity or the quiet voice in the back of your head telling you this guy is superior to you.

They saw you, recognized that they were objectively superior, and therefore are preventing a conflict with you (either because they're genuinely nice or can't be fucked right now) by calling you an affectionate nickname.

By defusing a situation before it starts, they don't have to do with a petulant robot acting like an asshole towards them. It's kind of a sign of respect, although it's a pitying respect.

That's how all the whitewashed curryniggers and arabs here talk, it's kind of endearing.
>walk into liquor store
>"HEY, SUP BOSS!"
>"AYY BUD-EE!"
>"AH, HOW'S IT GOING MY MAIN MAN!"

anybody else hate getting called bud or buddy? that shit makes me mad, especially if its someone you dont know
>>
I like using chief, though my favorite is big cat. Hondo works on rare occasions. It can or can't be demeaning, usually yes though.
>>
why the fuck can't normies get their own beer?

This is what I hate about being at parties. Fucking normies see me and ask me to get them a beer and I can't refuse them without looking like a JERK. I end up drinking a bit and pretend to be drunk so I can get escorted into an empty bedroom .

Fucking normies.

Yeah, my local gas station has Arabs who talk like southern Americans. Pretty cool people, shame that they gotta deal with niggers though.

I've gotten Bobcat before.
I really liked that one.
>>
>started calling people "bud" after watching every season of Trailer Park Boys within a few weeks
>realize the power it gives you when you use it
>secure people take it as a sign of goodwill and friendship
>insecure people get mad thinking that you're condescending to them and become even more insecure around you, making you look better by contrast

Can I call black people "brother" if they call me "brother"? I've been doing it without thinking much of it, but now I'm having second thoughts and I don't want to get beat up for saying it to the wrong person. I like the word, it's like comrade but less cringy. I wish I could say it to white people without sounding like a cult leader.
>>
>>29799309
Just say "whats up bro" or "man".
>>
>>29799309
I live in commiefornia and the ones I've dealt with don't seem to mind it much.
>"Hey how's it goin brother, you got an extra stoge by chance?"
>'Yeah bruh.'
>"Thanks man, you're a life saver."
>'Sho.'
>>
>>29799608
I was asking because I live in Philadelphia and al strangers usually call me brother. Nobody's seemed bothered by me using it, so I guess it's okay. I probably overthink things too much.
>>
>>29797274
>are these demeaning phrases?

No, they're just ways of referring to a guy whose name you don't know. "Buddy", "pal", "bro", and "nigga" (if both parties are black) are all very common. "Chief" is less common, and "big guy" is rarely used unless they're talking to a child or someone who really is a big guy (for you).

So it's entirely demeaning and condescending, gotcha. Doesn't work on this "hepcat", faggot.

Are you saying that every noncucked numale subconsciously wants to fight someone better than them?
>>
>>29798227
You come off as a girl or fag
>>
>>29800190
It's more patronising than condescending - which is usually well intentioned.
>>
>>29797274
I go weak in the knees when a big strong muscular chad is nice to me :^3
>>
>>29797274
not inherently, but when used by Chads to betas, the tone is probably demeaning.
>>
>>29798105
I dont personally; I understand they usually dont know my name and are trying to be polite with engaging me in conversation.

If anyone think they're gonna talk some shit with a pencil beard and speeder glasses they're sadly mistaken.
>>
>>29800682
Yep or start some kind of scene, maybe say something passive aggressive. You know exactly what I mean, le confrontational little guy is basically a real life meme.

Fighting spirit on account of most numales haven't totally given up like robots, tell themselves dumb shit like
"Girls don't care about muscles/money/facial symmetry/alpha personality"
"I'm probably smarter than him"
"He's probably got all kinds of insecurity I don't know about"
etc.
Robots know the truth, but 99% of betas aren't robots.
>>
>>29800946
agreed chads in pic are not in fact chads but lowlifes. Betas masquerading as chads. They get laid equally never/ as much as anyone willing to pay a stripper or hooker hundreds of dollars.
>>
>>29801105
When I think of Chad, I think of a guy that's fit and in a suit, where he fucks his married secretary.

I'm somewhat of a Chad. I call male strangers "bud" or "buddy" all the time. I've always considered it to be a sign of respect. I generally prefer to keep things friendly, and thought of it as a way to reach out to people I don't know. Like a reminder to someone that I'll automatically treat them as a friend until they give me a reason not to. I've never thought of it as condescending. More like a term of endearment. I also call my longtime friends "bud" or "buddy." Some people take it wrong, but most enjoy it.

I find names like Chief, Champ, Son, Captain, Boss, etc. to be very condescending and I don't like people calling me those. They all feel so insincere. I guess I just was looking for a catch-all name that meant friend, but was a little less awkward than calling people "friend" all the time.

Don't hate people for calling you buddy. It's meant to be nice.

I detest the word buddy. Even if it's someone talking about his friends, if he refers to them as "my buddy" it gets me irrationally angry.
>>
>>29797274
"Buddy" is used so often in so many different ways that it means absolutely fucking nothing out of context.

"Chief" is meant to be mildly annoying, but it lets you crack endless Indian jokes at them, so honestly I find it funny as hell.

And yeah, "big guy" is just taking the piss out of you, even when you're legitimately bigger than them.
>>
>>29797969
No fucking way! Where do you live? Mountain view?

>>29799231
