Does anyone here have experience traveling alone?

I am out of work at the moment and my savings are running out. I told myself i'd take a road trip and if i want i should do it soon while i still have some cash and the time.

My concerns are:

>no friends
>don't know where to go
>don't know what to do there
>don't want to spend too much on hotels

My car is reliable and i'm located in socal. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Just drive to another town and have a beer in the pub mate. Sleep on your car if you can. Road trips are definitely about the journey and not destinations. Just ride.

Thanks that's about what i wanted to hear. I really enjoy driving.

I have never been to a bar. I just turned 21 a while ago. Won't be a problem will it?

I'll tint my windows so i can sleep the drink off a bit just in case.
