I bought an adjustable dumbbell set with a bench that folds up and a pull up bar. Getting them gains without leaving my judgement free comfort zone. Feels good.

Eat at home - healthier and it will save you money so you can buy equipment

As for eating, count protein and calories. Might take some fine tuning to get where you need to be, but 500 calorie deficit will have you losing 1 pound a week (to make that mostly fat loss, work out while you eat like that) and 500 excess to gain at the same rate. For protein, most online bodybuilding people will say 1 gram per pound of body weight per day, but 0.7g will do just fine. Read nutrition labels, plan your days food in the morning or night before, and cook your own food rather than buying prepackaged, for the most part.

Look up stronglifts 5x5, pretty much every experienced lifter will say they started on it

I'm alternating
Squat 5x5. deadlift 1x5. Bench press 5x5. PullUp 5x5

squat 5x5. OHP 5x5. Bent over row 5x5

Every training day, upping the weight on each 5lbs every day I do them
