I have them almost non stop, whenever they start painfully jabbing into my foot I just make an incision close to the edge and sort of lever that piece out away from the toe so I can pull it off gently.
I've had some nasty ones in my time, ones where I spent so long trying to lever the nail out with scissors the area went numb as if the nerves in my toe went "Fuck this shit, time to clock out". They always end up healing, sometimes they swell up a little but I've never had to go to the doctor over one.

I had this and got it removed so it wouldn't grow back, it is actually far better once its gone as its comfier, doesn't get fluff and stuff underneath etc.

Please someone tell me how to end my suffering. I'm sick of getting my toe jabbed with fucking needles. I don't even know why they're coming back, but at this point I'm just gonna see how long I can get away with soaking my feet in epsom salt and shoving cotton between the skin and the nail. I've heard it can grow back out on it's own that way, so I guess we'll see

How does it feel to be betrayed by your own body.
This is what you do
1. Apply ointment (iodine works best because it also pulls the shit out quick in addition to treating the inflammation)
2. Put bandage on, wait 24 hours
3. Make a foot bath with warm water and soap (use curd soap if you can because this will give the best results by far) and leave it in for 1-2 hours
4. Get a flash light, couple nail scissors, tooth picks, metal nail file (the pointed ones, not the blunt ones) and tweezer
5. Put disinfectant on all dat shit
6. Make gaps in toe area and pull out the filth pressing itself against your skin
7. Start over with point 1 and rinse and repeat all this until it gets better
8. Avoid walking, exercise etc when you do this, and do NOT cancel this schedule until it has gotten better, or else you'll give it a chance to grow into the skin even more
At some point you will be able to go to sleep at night again without inflammation and pain and shit, this means that the healing process has kicked in.
For me personally with the above schedule it takes one or one and a half weeks at max when i really keep at it. Never had to go to the surgeon even once in all these years.

Don't take off the entire nail, its not worth it.(it hurts) See a podiatrist, they''ll remove the ingrown part and they give medication like antibiotics to deal with infection
