>Is it true that it is illegal to an hero in japan?
literally who the fuck cares?
apparently it's illegal to suicide in the US but does that stop anyone?
the reason suicide is considered "illegal" is for legal reasons, it's so cops can legally enter your house without a warrant when you are about to kill yourself and restrain you so you can't. they aren't gonna throw you in prison or put something on your criminal record
Pretty sure suicide is technically illegal in most countries. I guess only the state has the legal right to kill you.

Suicide was decriminalized in the 1970s iirc. It hasn't been illegal in the U.S. for decades.

It's illegal to kill yourself anywhere, for three big reasons;
>First, insurance companies need to cover their ass against this massive loophole people would exploit to evade debts/get surviving family a large payout. Thus, they campaigned to make suicide a felony, and then made a clause for their life-insurance policies that they will not offer settlements for claimants who died in the commission of a felony.
>Second, Our society believes that an individual of sound body and mind would not want to kill themselves, and if they do, there is something medically wrong with them (bring out the pshrinks). From this we get 5150 holds, a temporary mental restraint order when emergency responder suspects indvidual of being harm to self or others, or having unsafe/inhumane living conditions.
>Third, we live in a Judeo-Chrisitan society, where suicide is a mortal sin, literally a one-way ticket to hell. No redemption, and more importantly, it makes a huge social stain on your family, for being such massive cunts that you had to kill yourself to escape them.
TL;DR Life is suffering, existence is pain, and there is no escape.
