Haven't noticed any more thinning in fact hair is growing where I was going bald. I was losing around 100 hairs before going to doctor during shower a couple weeks after testosterone started a take effect it went down to 30-60 hairs. I believe that without testosterone the body tries to make more dht to compensate.
I have a USB microscope so I keep checking for new hair. I'm going to do blood tests soon again to test testosterone levels cortisol levels and dht levels and I'm going to get a shot of testosterone and see if dht increases or decreases.

I've had a weak hairline ever since I was a kid. However, it really started falling off a few months back. I went to India for the fifth time back in November with a thick head of hair. When I came back in March I started shedding like crazy, to the point where I couldn't keep denying that I was going bald. I went for a haircut and the barber kept recommending products for regrowth.
I'm on Rogaine now, as it worked very well for one of my friends.

I asked her if she thought I was receding and she said it seemed thick to her. All of my friends and boss (who's very thin on top himself) have said that I've made a ton of progress.
I'm very pleased but I don't know if I'm going to keep up Rogaine for more than a few years. It's very easy to apply and not too expensive, but I don't want to be dependent on something that prevents an occurrence which affects the majority of men later in life.

I use a generic 5% Minoxidil solution available at Wal-Mart for about half the price of brand-name Rogaine. I started off using both the foam and liquid applications, since that's what my friend does, but I've lately been sticking with only the latter since it's easier to bring as a carry-on for flights. I use the dripper to get the Minoxidil directly on my scalp and then massage it on. I apply it where hair loss is or was evident - my temples, along my apart, and the vertex.
I'm incredibly happy with the results I've gotten. Like I said, I never had a firm hairline growing up, and I'm pretty much back to where I was as a teenager.
FYI, it's common for Rogaine to seemingly accelerate hair loss after a few weeks. I got worried because I began shedding way more than I ever had after a month in, but I recovered and rebounded with a fury not long after.
