i hate parents that give their children trendy top-40s tier most popular names like my sister gave to her son austin. i also hate the special snowflake names as i think they draw too much negative attention which a kid can't really deal with.
if i had to choose i would probably try to pick one that treads the line between those. a classy, understated, solid name which also flows well with the surname. i'd probably agonize over it a lot even though it's pretty arbitrary.

As someone that got in a lot of fist fights with a lot of bullies it's actually not that hard to do. They rely on intimidation. In a crowd of 5 or 6 if you start swinging only a couple will fight back. Sometimes only the one you hit. The rest are just tagging along. Being willing to hit and get hit calls their bluff and turns them into just spectators.
I was more of a freakish oaf type though. I'm glad I had the retard strength to be able to defend myself even against big groups. Smaller kids that can't do anything physically have my sympathy.
