Tried to get in touch with a girl I dated in high school before becoming a shut-in (about two years ago). Text her beginning of June with the exact text:

No reply. Last night (about a month later), I tried to text her again, with this exact message:

She replies this time, telling me to quit trying to start shit with her. Says she broke up with me for a reason, and she doesn't want a guy like me to try to date her. What from what I wrote makes it sound like I want to date her again? I'd be fine with us just being friends still, but it seems that's not okay, even after I treated her like a fucking princess. In short, I will never understand how women reach the conclusions they do, and I'd rather not subject myself to anything more like that.
