Yeah a lot of it is.

Here's how I know: I've always been a feeble fat guy with 0 muscle mass.

My first GF was also an obese blob who was sedentary all day every day.

But she was fucking STRONG. Like, could easily overpower me. She could probably armwrestle me if I used both arms. And I dated her for years and never saw her do any exercise/lift weights.

A lot of it must be genetic.
